Ichthus: The All-Encompassing Lordship of Jesus Christ. From the Doxology Series, a three-part study in praise of our triune God.  Each study is a 9-session interactive Bible study resource with Leader's Guide and take home section.

Presbyterians For Renewal is committed to the renewal of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). We believe that one way in which renewal will come about in our denomination is through the study of God's word. NPWL is committed to providing Bible studies designed especially for women's groups, because we have seen that when women read and study the Bible, God not only has blessed that time, but God also has used women to transform the world.

Each study in the three-part Doxology series examines a Person of the Trinity. ICHTHUS is the second in the series, focusing on "The All-Encompassing Lordship of Jesus Christ." Ichthus, the Greek word for "fish," is a symbol of Christianity from the early days of the church. In fact, the early Christians used the word as an acronym. The initial letters begin the words of the phrase "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior." This symbol of the fish reminded them that Jesus was the Son of God, their Savior, and Lord--both Lord of their lives and Lord of the universe.
