About Me

Kirkie MorrisseyMy heart is for people, women in particular, to know the deep love of Jesus and how intimately He is involved in our daily lives. Other passions of mine include deepening our excitement for who He is, responding more wholeheartedly to Him in love, and nurturing a mature faith in Him.

I also long for believers to know the Spirit's transforming power and be Christ's instruments of grace and compassion in our hurting world. As I share my own journey and struggles, I desire to encourage others to persevere in faith, for God is who He is, and He is worth it all. As it is His Spirit who works in and through us accomplishing His purposes, I desire for Him to be glorified.

Speaking Topics

Keeping In Step With God's Spirit.

  • The apostle Paul exhorts us: "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Gal. 5:25) Too often we, as believers, give the Lord our lives, only to take back our days. As we yield to Him, allowing His Spirit to order our steps on a daily basis, our excitement and awe of Him increases, and we walk in peace with purpose. We need not fear that our needs or priorities will be neglected, for He sovereignly and lovingly orders all. These discoveries are life-changing!
  • Format: Seminar or weekend retreat.

When Life Challenges Our Faith.

  • Truths we know in our heads can be questioned in our hearts, as life sometimes challenges our faith. The Lord invites us to come honestly to Him in our pain and confusion, as He desires to meet us where we are. It's okay to ask hard questions for God is who He says He is, and He promises that everyone who genuinely seeks, finds! Even if we aren't struggling in our own faith, exploring insights into difficult faith issues helps equip us to better help others in their struggles. Some questions considered are: "Why do bad things happen to God's people?," "Is God always in control?," and "Does prayer really make a difference?"
  • Format: Weekend retreat.

Winning the Battle Waged Against Us.

  • There is a war going on, and we're in itÛlike it or not! Christ achieved the victory over the evil one on the cross, but until our enemy is destroyed in the end the battle continues. God equips His people for this and is with us in itÛso we need not fear. In His power and by His authority, this enemy can be defeated and his purposes thwarted. Breakthroughs in lives and circumstances can occur and struggles overcome by His power and authority. Both defensive and offensive tactics are considered, personally, powerfully, and practically. Seminar or Weekend retreat.

Walking With the Good Shepherd.

  • As Jesus is our Good Shepherd, He promises to lead us faithfully. Our role is to follow and abandon ourselves to His care. We can trust Him, for He loves us and He is good. Places in our journey through life are considered, and who the Lord is to us as He is with us in each is revealed. Specific issues surrounding abandoning ourselves to the Lord, listening to Him as we walk, and entrusting ourselves to His care are delved into practically and personally. Based on Psalm 23 and John 10. Weekend retreat.

In addition, I speak on topics pertaining to the books I have written -- the titles of those currently in print are listed below:

God, Where Are You? -- Wrestling with who God is in the challenges of life
At Jesus' Feet -- Discovering the power of prayer, nurturing a relationship with the Lord
The Responsive Heart -- Growing in the Lord and living a productive life
A Great Cloud of Witnesses -- Deeper lessons of practical faith
Fix Your Eyes on Jesus: Running the Race Marked Out for You -- Purpose in life

Types of a presentation:

My niche for speaking is seminars and weekend retreats. Because I like to consider topics of a deeper nature, those avenues are most conducive to that exploration and application. My manner is gentle, and people have expressed that Christ's love is powerfully evidenced.
