About the Authors

 Marnie Crumpler

Dr. Marnie Crumpler grew up in Atlanta and served churches throughout the South before returning to Atlanta to serve at Peachtree Presbyterian as Executive Pastor.  She received her BA from Wake Forest University, her MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary and her D.Min. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.  She has preached conferences and led seminars throughout the country on leadership, family ministry, discipleship and commitment to Jesus Christ.  Marnie is passionate about building community at Peachtree and helping people find their own purpose and passion.  She loves to teach the bible and to see people of all ages grow in their relationship with Jesus.  Marnie is married to Mark Crumpler, also a pastor at Peachtree.  They have two children, John and Anna. You may also find Marnie on the treadmill or tennis court, at a Braves game or hanging out with her great kids and husband.  

 

Carmen Fowler

The Reverend Carmen S. Fowler was born in Muncie, Indiana and grew up in Tampa, Florida where she was a member of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church. Carmen received her Bachelor's of Business Administration/Finance from The University of Florida in 1990 and her Master's of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1993.  She was ordained by the Presbytery of Tampa Bay and called to serve as the Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Victoria, Texas. In 1995 she served a year as the Interim Associate Pastor for Christian Education and Church Life at the 5000 member Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas. Following that experience, Carmen served as the Pastor of Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church in Rabun Gap, Georgia for five and half years. In 2002, Rev. Fowler accepted the challenge of serving as the national Executive Director of The Presbyterian Coalition and moved to Orlando, Florida. She is currently serving as Associate Pastor at Providence Presbyterian Church, Hilton Head, South Carolina. Rev. Fowler is theologically conservative, evangelical, and enjoys opening the Bible with people of all ages. Sinners and saints alike seem to enjoy her company and benefit from her insights into the Word of God and its application to the real world. Carmen speaks at events and conferences across the country and is a published author of devotionals, curriculum and a forthcoming book.

 

Tracie Stewart

 
The Reverend Tracie Mayes Stewart is a life-long Presbyterian who grew up in South Carolina.  She is a cum laude graduate of Davidson College and holds a Master of Divinity from Union Theological seminary in Richmond, Virginia.  Tracie is a Lydian Scholar and is actively involved in the ministries of Presbyterians for Renewal including NPWL, the Issues Ministry, and the Montreat Wee Kirk Conference.  Tracie currently serves part-time as the Parish Associate for Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church in Statesville, North Carolina. She is married to Brian, a Presbyterian minister who is currently starting a new church, the Presbyterian Church of the Springs, in Barium Springs, North Carolina.  Brian and Tracie have two boys, Brian Alexander, 6, and William James, 3.
